A 25-year-old was hit by a Hyundai Kona on Route 206 S. at the entrance to the shopping center in front of the McDonald’s in Hampton Township just before 1 p.m., NJSP Sgt. Alejandro Goez told DailyVoice.com. The woman was taken to Newton Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, Goez said. A Ford Focus collided with a Toyota Highlander in the southbound lane near milepost 111.5 in Hampton Township around 12:20 p.m., NJSP Trooper Alejandro Goez told Daily Voice. Both drivers complained of minor injuries, and the Toyota driver was taken to Newton Hospital for additional treatment, authorities said. The driver of a Honda Pilot crossed the center line and hit a Toyota Rav 4 near milepost 69 on Route 519 in Hampton Township just before 4:10 p.m., NJSP Sgt. Philip Curry told Daily Voice. Firefighters Battle Hampton Township House Fire An elderly woman suffered burns to her hand in a fire that ravaged a Hampton Township house Tuesday, authorities said. Emergency vehicles lined Westbrook Lane to fight the second-alarm blaze, which broke out around 4:30 p.m., the Sussex County Fire Wire reported on Facebook. A firefighter got his foot stuck climbing up the stairs of the deck the house while fighting the blaze but swiftly pulled it out and got right back to work, fellow firefighters said.  He may have suffered a pulled muscle, responders said.
