17 Puppies Rescued By Pennsylvania SPCA Over Welfare Concerns The Pennsylvania SPCA rescued 17 dogs including five unweaned puppies from a Lancaster County property over welfare concerns last week. Acting on a tip from a concerned citizen, the PSPCA removed 16 German Shepherd-type dogs and one Siberian Husky from a property on Bell Road home in Christiana last Wednesday, officials said. The PSPCA had previously been to the property in November while assisting the Bureau of Dog Law with a warrant.  At the time, though without a kennel license, the owners of the property were operating as a kennel and puppy dealer in the Commonwealth housing …

Seen HER? Reward Boosted For Missing Sussex County Seeing Eye Dog The reward for finding a seeing eye dog from Sussex County who’s been missing nearly 2½ weeks was increased Thursday to $6,000. An anonymous tip line also was established to report any sightings of Ondrea, the 14-month-old black and tan German shepherd who reportedly bolted on June 24 after pushing through an exterior door with a broken latch at the Wantage home of a volunteer puppy raiser. Ondrea is fully grown -- about 50 pounds.
