At least the younger students did.
The Board of Education was to provide the community with an update about test performance during its regular meeting Thursday, Feb. 4.
For example, seventh-grade students scored 18 percentage points above the state average in language arts. Additionally, elementary school students achieved strong results in math and outperformed the rest of the state by an impressive margin.
In contrast, overall high school results hover around the state average. The district attributes this to nearly 500 cases of test refusal or minimal effort. The full presentation is available for download on the district's website.
