Ortiz guided teachers through an interactive workshop to learn about a new 21st century approach to classroom instruction and organization. Pines Lake teachers, joined by Principal Jose Celis, learned a creative digital approach to engage students with learning materials, such as books, videos, apps, podcasts and primary sources.

The teachers and the district are excited about using this training and the possibilities to enhance instruction and boost student engagement through the use of iPads in the classroom. Garage Band, iMovie and a host of instructional apps were showcased to give teachers innovative options for presenting instructional lessons and providing students with an increased role in the learning process.
