Accepting donations on the website is just one step fund organizers are taking in the hopes of providing more financial assistance to students who are selected for the scholarship.
Friends of Marcus Ruta will also host a New Year's Eve party at XO Private Functions and Social Lounge in Wayne to help raise money. Tickets are $85 for general admission and $105 with transportation included. Admission includes four hours of open bar and food.
