The students in Sylvia Marra-Gaspar's science class were able to spend some time with Lucy during class. It was part of their work making bar graphs depicting different dog breeds, school officials said.
Lucy is a specially trained therapy dog used to provide comfort and affection to those in need, school officials said. Many schools use therapy dogs for reading and other activities with students.
