Hawthorne Pitcher Commits To Philadelphia University

HAWTHORNE, N.J. -- "David Mascis, ace pitcher for the Bears, is about to become a Ram," the Clarion reported on Tuesday, April 5. The Clarion is the student news site of Hawthorne High School.

Mascis signed his NCAA National Letter of Intent with Philadelphia University on Tuesday, to play Division II baseball there, the Clarion reported.

"Dave has pitched in so many big games for us," Hawthorne Coach Passero said, according to the Clarion reporting. "I know he will do great things in college and we will surely miss him next year."
