Integrated preschool incorporates general education and special education students together. The teacher will be certified in both types of education.
"The Hawthorne School District has made a a commitment to our youngest learners by offering an integrated program that will certainly benefit all students involved," Markman said in a statement. "These new classes can help ensure that Hawthorne preschool children have the appropriate experiences, knowledge and skills necessary to prepare them for social, emotional and academic success in our schools."
