The Board of Education released a tentative budget that called for over $165 million in spending, but only anticipates approximately $156.9 million in revenue, NorthJersey.com reported.

The largest spending increases are coming from rising costs in health insurance, retirement contributions and additional services required for students with special needs, NorthJersey.com said.
