Lora became interim mayor in November after the city’s former mayor, Alex Blanco, pleaded guilty in federal court to bribing developers out of more than $100,000 in federal housing funds.

Tuesday, Lora beat out four other candidates, including runner-up Richard Diaz, by earning 5,716 votes.

Lora’s running-mates vying for city council also won. Incumbents Joe Garcia, Terrance Love and Daniel Shwartz were re-elected to at-large council seats.
