Woman Shoplifted 49 Bras From Wayne Store, Police Charge

WAYNE, N.J. — A Pennsylvania woman shoplifted 49 bras and around $2,300 worth of other merchandise from a Victoria's Secret in Wayne as part of what police suspect may be a shoplifting gang, authorities said.

Officers saw Cynthia Mary Roman, 39, walking around the store in the Willowbrook Mall on Saturday filling a bag with 49 bras and 10 bottles of perfume, Capt. Laurence Martin said.

Roman was charged with shoplifting and outstanding warrants from Paramus and released on court summonses, Martin said.

Similar incidents happened at other Victoria's Secrets in the area, leading authorities to believe they could be related, he said.
