Video: Passaic Firefighters Extinguish Blaze At Abandoned Building

PASSAIC, N.J.– Passaic firefighters on Wednesday extinguished a blaze at an abandoned building, officials said.

It took nearly five hours to get the fire under control after the 8:40 a.m. call at 197 Lexington Ave., Battalion Chief Louis Mercado told Daily Voice.

The cause of the fire was still under investigation, Mercado said.

There had been recent complaints of vagrants going in and out, he added.

No injuries were reported.
