Sheriff's Department Makes Three Drug Busts In Half A Day In Paterson

PATERSON, N.J. -- The Passaic County Sheriff’s department made three arrests for drugs in 12 hours Tuesday, according to a story by NJ.com.

The first arrest was at about 4:45 p.m. Tuesday when police arrested Miquel Chappelle, 42, the story said, Police allegedly found 80 baggies of marijuana and $185 in cash, NJ.com reported. Chappelle was charged with various drug offenses, including possession and intent to distribute in a school vicinity, the story said.

At 11:45 p.m. sheriff’s officers stopped several people on Park Ave. near East 23rd who appeared to be doing a drug deal, the story said. Police said they found 46 baggies of crack cocaine on Jahzir Briggs, 19, of Paterson, and charged him with possession and possession with intent to distribute in a school vicinity, the story said.

Quadaire Davis, 26, of Paterson, was arrested at 3:40 a.m. and charged with possession of crack and marijuana, NJ.com said.
