Paterson Man Drives On Sidewalk, Crashes Into House While Fleeing Police

PATERSON, N.J. – A Paterson man buying heroin eventually was captured Wednesday after eluding police by driving on the sidewalk and hitting a home, according to NJ.com.

Elvis Romero, 42, of Wayne was in the process of buying the drugs when detectives identified themselves, and he tried to flee, the story said.

Romero faces heroin possession, eluding and various traffic charges, reported NJ.com.

The man who allegedly sold Romero the drugs, 57-year old Ronald Delmo, was charged with possession and distribution of heroin and arrested at his city home, the story said.
