Driver In Wayne Car Crash Dies

WAYNE, N.J. — A Florida man whose car slammed into a utility pole in Wayne on Sunday died from his injuries Tuesday, police said.

Thomas Ritchie, 66, was pronounced dead around 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph's Regional Medical Center, Capt. Laurence Martin said.

Ritchie was headed south on Black Oak Ridge Road when his 2015 Hyundai Sonata slammed into a utility pole just before 7:20 p.m., Martin said Monday morning.
