The New Jersey State Police lab in Hamilton matched DNA from blood recovered at the scene to 56-year-old Martin S. Wolfe, who has a criminal record, Capt. Laurence Martin said.

Wolfe remained at large early Tuesday evening, he said.

Wolfe was one of two men who entered the Zales Jewelry store on May 22, smashed a display case with objects wrapped in white cloth and fled with $3,500 worth of jewelry, Martin said.

Detective Sgt. Robert Simpson and Detectives William Jurewicz, Mike O’Rourke and Craig McIntyre collected the forensic evidence submitted to the NJSP, he said.

Martin asked that anyone who knows Wolfe's whereabouts call Wayne PD: (973) 694-0600.
