Unique H. Marshall, 20, was arrested Tuesday and charged with strict liability for a drug-induced death, Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and acting Paterson Police Chief William Fraher said on Wednesday.

Marshall was accused of giving heroin on Jan. 29 to Michael Alfieri, 43, of Vernon, which led to his overdose death, Valdes and Fraher said.

Marshall was held on $250,000 bail, they said. His first court appearance was scheduled for Friday.
