NORTH HALEDON, N.J. -- Thomas DeClemente, 76, of North Haledon, died Oct. 21.
Born in Jersey City, he lived in Union City before moving to North Haledon in 1976.
An established attorney, he began his law practice in Union City, was appointed prosecutor and continued on in private practice in Hudson and Bergen counties until his retirement in 2014.
He is survived by his wife, Luciana; children, Thomas De Clemente and his wife Heidy and Lisa De Marco and her husband Peter; grandchildren, Arianna, Giancarlo, Matteo, Tejas and Ojas; brothers, Dennis De Clemente, Joseph De Clemente and the late Anthony De Clemente and his wife Cora De Clemente.
The family will receive family and friends on from 5-9 p.m. Monday at Vander Plaat-Vermeulen Memorial Home, 530 High Mountain Road, Franklin Lakes. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home followed by an 11 a.m. Mass at Most Blessed Sacrament R.C. Church. Cremation will be private.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in his memory to Arden Courts, The Memory Care Center, 800 Hamburg Turnpike, Wayne, NJ 07470.
