Stanley Joel Haspel, 85, Of Woodland Park

WOODLAND PARK, N.J. —Stanley Joel Haspel, of Woodland Park, died Nov. 6. He was 85. 

He was born Nov. 6, 1931, in the Bronx, to the late Irving and Lillian Haspel.

A graduate of the City College of New York, following his honorable discharge from military service, he received his juris doctor degree from Brooklyn Law School. He went on to practice law for the next 45 years, with the majority of his work serving as house counsel at the advertising agency of Wells Rich Greene Inc. A man of compassion and love, he also was known for his strong will, broad knowledge, sound judgment and wisdom. A lover of jazz and classical music, he also enjoyed collecting art work and model trains. He enjoyed travel and was an ardent follower of politics.

He is survived by his wife, Elaine; sister, Barbara; children, Marc, Scott, and Samantha and their spouses, Susan, Julie, and Adam; and grandchildren, Rachel, Jonathan, Amanda, Jonah, Morgan, Lily and Taylor.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the National Stroke Association, Leukemia and Lymphoma Society or any charity of your choice.
