Sarkis Aramian, 84, Of Passaic

PASSAIC, N.J. -- Sarkis Aramian, 84, of Passaic, passed away Thursday, March 10, 2016. 

He was born in the Bronx, N.Y. to Haroutun and Elmon Aramian. 

Aramian was a proud U.S. Marine veteran who served during the Korean War. He was active with both the Rutherford and Clifton garden clubs and was a member of the Dahlia Society of North Jersey. 

Before retiring, Aramian was a technical illustrator for Allied Signal in Teterboro. 

He will be deeply missed by his wife of 44 years, Margaret (nee Kasparian); and his siblings, Gregory Aramian of Brooklyn, N.Y. and Diane Aramian of Keswick, Va. 

The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday in the Calhoun-Mania Funeral Home, 19 Lincoln Ave., Rutherford. All are asked to assemble at 10 a.m. Monday for a religious service in St. Leon Armenian Church, 12-61 Saddle River Road, Fairlawn. Interment will be in Hillside Cemetery, Lyndhurst.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Leon Armenian Church.
