John A. Cavanaugh, 73, Former Clifton Resident

NORTH ARLINGTON, N.J. -- John A. Cavanaugh -- a Manchester resident, formerly of Clifton, died on Monday, May 23. He was 73.

An Army veteran of the Vietnam War, Cavanaugh was a finance broker for the past 40 years and the owner of Fax Back Commercial Credit.

He is survived by his former wife, Barbara (Novroski) Cavanaugh; children, Tara and John Cavanaugh, Briana DiPardo and her husband Steve, and Shawna Cavanaugh and her fiancé Stephen Smith; grandchildren Aiden and Avery DiPardo; and nephew Dr. John Marshall.

Visiting hours will be from 5-9 p.m. on Thursday, May 26, at the Parow Funeral Home, 185 Ridge Rd., in North Arlington. The funeral will be from the funeral home on Friday at 9 a.m., thence to Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, in North Arlington, for a 10 a.m. funeral mass. Interment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, also in North Arlington.
