NORTH HALEDON, N.J. -- Iris Pfisterer, 76, of North Haledon, died Saturday, Dec. 12.
Born in Union City, Pfisterer lived in Wyckoff for 25 years before moving to North Haledon 10 years ago. She was an active member of the North Haledon Golden Age Club and past president of the Saengerbund of Paterson.
She is survived by her children: Wayne Pfisterer (Margaret); Heidi Wostbrock (Steven); grandchildren: Daniel Wostbrock, Krista Wostbrock, Tara Pfisterer and Sydney DiBernardino; brother Christian Yenta, and her former husband Dieter Pfisterer.
Visiting hours will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, 257 Godwin Ave. Wyckoff. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers donations in Pfisterer's name may be made to the St. Jude Tribute Program, PO Box 1000, Dept 142, Memphis, TN 38148.
