CLIFTON, N.J. -- Hope Vanderlaan, 85, of Clifton, died Oct. 4.
She was born and raised in Passaic all her life before moving to Clifton four years ago.
She was a homemaker.
She was predeceased by her husband, Donald; and three children, Donald VanderLaan Jr., Marie Jackson and Richard VanderLaan.
She is survived by her children, Barbara Cervantes, Robert (Norma) VanderLaan, Tessie VanderLaan, Edward VanderLaan, John VanderLaan, and Martin (Theresa) VanderLaan; siblings, William (Janice) Marotta, John (Kathleen) Marotta, Tessie Rankin and Rita Dedreu; 26 grandchildren; and 28 great-grandchildren.
Visiting will be from 7-9 p.m. Thursday with an 8:30 p.m. chapel service at the Aloia Funeral Home, 180 Harrison Ave., Garfield. Cremation will be private.
