WAYNE, N.J. -- An Oct. 20 forum for those running for six Township Council vacancies had to be canceled due to a no-show by Republicans in opposition to a rule that prohibited every candidate to take part in the forum, according to NorthJersey.com

Wayne's League of Women Voters, who were to host the forum, permitted candidates to take part in the event providing an opposing candidate did, too, reported NorthJersey.com
