Wayne Police Seek Help Identifying Bank Robbery Suspect

WAYNE, N.J.– Wayne police released a sketch Tuesday morning in an effort to identify a man who they said robbed a Route 23 bank earlier this month.The bandit entered the M&T Bank at 10 a.m. March 8, announced a robbery and made off with about $9,000, Capt. Laurence Martin said.He was described as black, about 30 years old, 5-foot-10 to 6 feet tall, with a thin build and brown eyes.He was wearing an olive green military-style jacket with a white button-down shirt, blue jeans and white sneakers.If you see the suspect, know him or know where to find him, Martin asked that you call Wayne detectives: (973) 633-3538 (ask for Detective Scott Rappaport) or the Detective Bureau general number: (973) 633-3530.
