HAWTHORNE, N.J. — Emergency utility work closed a portion of Van Winkle Avenue in Hawthorne Friday morning, Oct. 23. Officials warned residents to expect delays, especially around Roosevelt Elementary School.

The road will open when construction is complete, although authorities didn't have a time frame.
