The snow-plowing season is defined as the period of Oct. 1 through May 1.
During that period, snow plow contractors may enter into a contract with the Township of Wayne to plow snow on township roads.
The use of such contractors is at the discretion of the superintendent of roads, the director of public works or the business administrator, when the accumulation of snow necessitates the use of additional snow-plowing equipment to supplement the township's fleet.
After the contract is signed, the township will assign each contractor to an area within the township.
