Olson, a Paterson native, and professional football player, turns 31 on Friday.
Olson, a tight end for NFL's Carolina Panthers, was born March 11, 1985.
He attended Wayne Hills High School where he played football and basketball under his father Chris Olson Sr. He was one of three finalists for the Gatorade Player of the Year award. In 2002, he was a USA Today First-Team All-American as a senior.
Olson originally applied to the University of Notre Dame, but transferred as a freshmen to the University of Miami. In 2005, during his sophomore year, he became the starter of the Miami Hurricanes.
In 2007, Olson was pick 31 of the first round of the NFL draft going to the Chicago Bears, where he played until 2010. In 2011, he went to the Carolina Panthers.
