CLIFTON, N.J. – A Clifton woman is hoping to help a New Jersey man whose home remains stuck in the frozen Sandy Hook Bay.
Stephanie Sblendorio launched a GoFundMe campaign to help Danny Davis, 53, who lost his houseboat in the recent blizzard, then found it surrounded in ice.
Davis lives on a fixed income and is now residing in his van with his two dogs. He has survived 13 heart attacks, 18 stents and a triple bypass surgery just seven months ago.
“Let’s make Danny’s fight a little easier by donating to this man who despite everything is able to say, ‘a lot of people are worse off than I am,’” Sblendorio wrote on the page.
About $500 had been raised by Friday morning.
