Wayne Parks And Recreation Offers 'Elf' Trip To NYC

WAYNE, N.J. -- The Wayne Parks and Recreation Department is sponsoring a trip Sunday to see "Elf ” The Musical at Madison Square Garden.

The trip departs at 3:45 p.m. for a 6 p.m. show.

The cost is $82 and includes round-trip transportation.

Tickets are reserved in the center orchestra.

The show is based on the 2003 movie, "Elf, " a hilarious tale of Buddy, a young orphan child transported to the North Pole. 

Buddy is raised unaware he is actually a human until his enormous size and poor toy-making abilities cause him to face the truth. Buddy embarks on a journey to New York City to find his birth father and discover his true identity.

Faced with the harsh reality that his father is on the naughty list and his half-brother doesn’t believe in Santa, Buddy is determined to win over his new family and help New York remember the true meaning of Christmas.
