Paterson Celebrates Reopening Of Refurbished Mary Ellen Kramer Park

PATERSON, N.J. - NewJersey dignitaries, Paterson officials and residents celebrated the reopening of Mary Ellen Kramer Park Friday morning with a ceremony, the dedication of a plaque and a ribbon-cutting.

A part of the Paterson Great Falls National Historic Park, Mary Ellen Kramer Park improvements included soil replacement, new paved walking surfaces, lighting, benches, picnic tables, fencing and landscaping. Access to the falls has also been improved with a walkway along the lip of the waterfalls.

Speakers included Lt. Governor Kim Gaudagno, Congressman Bill Pascrell, Mayor Jose "Joey" Torres, Passaic County Freeholder Director Hector Lora, and Lawrence "Kip" Kramer represented the Kramer family. Former Mayor Pat Kramer was also in attendance.
