Wayne ShopRite Offers Appetizers, Kids' Cooking Workshops

WAYNE, N.J. -- Two workshops and free events are part of the "Healthy Holidays Offerings" this month at the ShopRite in Wayne.

The store's registered dietitian will show participants how to make holiday appetizers in "Essential Appetizers" from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday. The cost is $20.

On Wednesday, there will be "Ask the RD: Holiday Edition" from noon to 6 p.m. Drop by the dietitian’s corner to have your questions answered and for tips and tricks on how to make any meal more nutritious. 

"Kids’ Culinary Workshop Class" is offered from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 12 as a way to provide young chefs with a fun, hands-on cooking class. The cost is $20 for one child with adult; $10 for each additional child.

"Produce Pick" will take place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 18 and will offer a fresh snack from the store's produce department.

On Saturday, Dec. 19 and Monday, Dec. 21 "Holiday Mocktails" will feature a demonstration with samples of a fizzy beverage from noon to 2 p.m.

"Holiday Desserts" will be the focus Sunday, Dec. 20 and Tuesday, Dec. 22 from noon to 2 p.m.
