NORTH HALEDON, N.J. -- The North Haledon Rock and Run for Education will be on Tuesday, April 26.

There will be both a 5K and a one-mile fun run.

Proceeds will be equally distributed to the North Haledon Education Foundation and the North Haledon PTO, to benefit the children of the North Haledon School district.

Here's the event schedule:

8 a.m. -- registration opens
9:15 a.m. -- pre-race warmup
9:30 a.m. -- 5K run/walk start
10:30am -- one mile fun start

There will be music at the finish line, as well as refreshments, raffles and awards.

Trophies will be awarded to the top three overall finishers, male and female; top three North Haledon residents, male and female; and top three teachers. Medals will be awarded to the top three, male and female in the following age groups: 8 and under, 9-12, 13-16, 17-19, and then in 10-year increments.

All finishers in the one-mile fun run. T-shirts are guaranteed to those who pre-register, and then while supplies last, to late and race-day registrants.
