Intro To Fly Fishing Comes To Hawthorne's Goffle Brook Park

HAWTHORNE, N.J. -- Joan Wulff Fly Fishers are teaching a free introduction to fly fishing class in Hawthorne, on Thursday, June 2.

The course open to women, men and kids 10 years old and up, and all equipment will be provided. Email info@jwffclub.org to register.

The class will be from 6:30 p.m. to dusk, at Arnold's Pond, in Goffle Brook Park. For more information, call Jan Northrop at 973-881-4832. 

JWFF is a nonprofit. The name of the 18-year-old organization honors Wulff, who "entered the all-male world of competitive fly casting and quickly made a name for herself," decades ago, according to the group's website. You can also visit the group's Facebook page.

The event is co-sponsored by Passaic County Parks and Recreation and supported by the Passaic County Board of Chosen Freeholders.
