Grammy Award-Winning Singer, Activist Coming To William Paterson

WAYNE, N.J. — William Paterson University's Distinguished Lecturer Series continues Friday, Feb. 19 with Grammy Award-winning singer and activist Angélique Kidjo and her lecture "Education is Hope: Investing in the Future."

Hailed as of the most inspiring women in the world, Kidjo is a UNICEF goodwill ambassador. She will discuss how education is the key to economic empowerment. "Kidjo will electrify the audience with the strength of her voice, the power of her words and the intensity of her performance," noted a news release. The lecture also will be punctuated with song.
