Congressman Pascrell's Office Holds Service Academy Information Day

PATERSON, N.J. -- Congressman Pascrell is hosting an Academy Information Day on on Sunday, April 24, for residents of New Jersey's Ninth Congressional District who might be interested in pursuing an education at a United States Service Academy.

This will be an opportunity to learn more about the nomination and appointment process. Liaisons representing the Air Force Academy, Coast Guard Academy, Merchant Marine Academy, Military Academy at West Point and Naval Academy have been invited, to answer folks questions and review the admissions procedure.

The day will begin with an overview of the nominations process, followed by brief presentations from each academy. The day will conclude with a breakout session for one-on-one interaction with the liaisons.

The dress code is casual. Parents and educators are also encouraged to attend. Parking and refreshments will beavailable.

The Ninth Congressional District includes Carlstadt, Cliffside Park, Clifton, Cresskill, East Rutherford, Edgewater, Elmwood Park, Englewood, Englewood Cliffs, Fort Lee, Garfield, Haledon, Hasbrouck Heights, Hawthorne, parts of Kearny, Leonia, Little Ferry, Lyndhurst, Moonachie, North Arlington, Palisades Park, Passaic, Paterson, Prospect Park, Ridgefield, Ridgefield Park, Rutherford, Saddle Brook, Secaucus, South Hackensack, parts of Teaneck, Tenafly, Teterboro, Wallington and Wood-Ridge.
