Clifton Plans First LGBTQ Pride Flag Raising

CLIFTON, N.J.– Guest speakers and elected officials are scheduled to join Clifton's First Annual Pride Flag Raising on Saturday at 1 p.m.

Scheduled to attend were Christian Fuscarino, the executive director of Garden State Equality; state Assemblyman Timothy Eustace; Jane Clementi, co-founder of the Tyler Clementi Foundation; North Haledon Councilman Michael Galluccio; creators of Clifton High School's Gay Straight Alliance Sofia Romero and Catherine Juarez; John Trainer, chairman of the Civil Rights Commission and chairman of the Passaic County Regular Republic Organization; and found of the Theater League of Clifton.

Ariel Rose will sing the National Anthem.

Rev. Peter DeFranco of St. Peter's Episcopal Church in Clifton will give an invocation.
