Fifty vendors lined up in the PAL Building off Lincoln Avenue with health tips.
The event used to be yearly before attendance dwindled five years ago, Councilwoman Debbie Andriani said.
"Now we had a lot of residents reach out to us and ask us to bring it back," Andriani told Daily Voice.
The fair educated residents on healthy living, according to Library Director Anne Krautheim. It provided blood pressure and cholesterol screenings, flu shots, massages and nutrition facts.
"Not only do we have traditional medicine here, we have alternative medicine. We have acupressure, acupuncture," Krautheim said.
The Totowa police and fire departments provided safety demonstrations and tips.
In addition to health education, activities included face painting, balloon art and a clown. The New Jersey Devils also sponsored a table.
The borough council, library and health department coordinated the fair.
"It's a nice community event to bring the town together," said Darlene Walsh, public health nurse. "It makes all the vendors available in one spot."
