NJ Broker Loses Registration, Fined $150G For Going Rogue With Hudson Valley Tequila Startup A former New Jersey broker-dealer agent from Rockland County had his registration revoked and was fined $150,000 for steering clients to a Hudson Valley tequila startup whose founder went to federal prison. Michael W. Mandel of Suffern sold the securities in the form of ownership interests in "6 Degree Tequila" via unauthorized private transactions, state Attorney General Matthew J. A Vernon native, Kristen worked at ShopRite in Franklin for many years and at the Mixing Bowl Restaurant, where she amassed countless friends, according to her obituary. Jurors in September 2018 convicted Zamaire Barden of murder, attempted murder and weapons offenses following a trial in Paterson that lasted nearly a week. Mahwah Driver, 32, Killed In NY Crash A 32-year-old Mahwah man was killed in a two-vehicle crash in Orange County, NY early Tuesday, authorities said. Joseph R. Farina was headed east on School Road in Monroe when his 1996 Toyota Avalon collided with a westbound 2013 Acura TL driven by 67-year-old Patrick J. Early of Warwick around 7:20 a.m., New York State Police Trooper Steven Nevel said. Farina was pronounced dead at the scene, the trooper said.  An investigation was continuing, he said.

NY Driver, 16, Caught Tearing Up School Fields In Bergen A 16-year-old driver from Warwick, NY tore up fields at schools in Wyckoff and Franklin Lakes, causing thousands of dollars in damage, authorities said. Damage to the field at Eisenhower Middle School in Wyckoff alone was estimated at $2,500, Lt. Joseph Soto said Tuesday. Investigating Detective Sgt. Michael Ragucci discovered that the boy also vandalized the field at Ramapo High School in Franklin Lakes with the SUV, Soto said.
