Firefighters extricated the driver of a Lincoln SUV following a chain-reaction crash involving a tractor-trailer on the northbound New Jersey Turnpike in Bergen County. Four victims in all were hospitalized, one of whom was in traumatic arrest, following the pileup shortly before noon Monday near the Emerson Street overpass in Ridgefield Park, responders said. Trapped Victim Extricated Following Head-On Hunterdon County Crash
A trapped victim was extricated from a vehicle following a head-on crash in Hunterdon County, authorities said. The crash occurred on Route 202 northbound near Burgers Motorcycle in Flemington shortly before 12:25 p.m. on Sunday, March 27, according to the Three Bridges Volunteer Fire Department, which responded alongside the Whitehouse Rescue Squad. The vehicle was stabilized before crew members used spreaders and cutters to remove the door and safely remove the victim. Driver Critically Injured In Wayne Rollover
A driver was critically injured in a rollover crash Saturday morning in Wayne, responders said. Township firefighters sawed the roof of the Jeep to extricate the victim following the 6:30 a.m. crash on Black Oak Ridge Road (Route 202) near Ashlyn Court. The cause wasn't immediately determined. The victim was taken to St. Joseph's Regional Medical Center in Paterson. Wayne police, firefighters and EMS responded. : Police Heroes Free Trapped Driver Knocked Out In North Jersey Crash
A team of police officers rescued a trapped driver who’d been knocked unconscious Thursday when her car barreled down an embankment and into a wooded area between Route 9W and the Palisades Interstate Parkway. Three Extricated From Minivan, Nine Injured In Palisades Interstate Parkway Pileup
UPDATE: Five minivan occupants had to be hospitalized -- three of whom were extricated by police -- following a multi-vehicle crash that closed the northbound Palisades Interstate Parkway on Saturday for nearly an hour and a half, authorities said.
