Drop A DIME: Gang Burglarizing Vehicles At Rest Stops Along NJ Turnpike, State Police Seek Help A gang of thieves has been burglarizing vehicles at New Jersey Turnpike rest stops, say State Police, who are asking the public's help in catching them. They've struck as far north as the Vince Lombardi rest stop in Ridgefield and as far south as the Molly Pitcher in Cranbury -- as well as in-between at the Thomas Edison rest stop in Woodbridge, NJSP said. Police tried stopping the black Chevy Tahoe with Florida license plate CTK-W25 around 6 a.m. in connection with two vehicle burglaries roughly 15 minutes earlier at Closter Plaza, Sgt. Vincent Aiello said. The driver sped off south on Piermont Road and a pursuit ensued, with Tenafly police chasing the SUV to westbound Route 80 before breaking off the chase, Aiello said.
