A fugitive wanted for attempted murder in Monmouth County was captured in North Carolina after leading police on a roughly 100-mile chase, authorities said. A drunken driver was found asleep behind the wheel, authorities said. On Thursday, Dec. 7 at approximately 8 p.m., Montgomery Township police responded to the intersection of Route 518 and Route 206.
