! Powerball Tickets Sold In Somerset, Morris Counties Score Big $$
It was a wonderful Wednesday for Powerball players in Somerset and Morris counties. Tickets sold in Bridgewater and Stirling, respectively, matched four of the five numbers plus the red Powerball in the drawing held on Wednesday, April 3, winning $50,000. The tickets were sold at Food Market in Bridgewater and Lukoil in Stirling. The winning numbers were 11, 38, 41, 62 65 and the red Powerball was 15.

Man Struck, Killed By Train In Somerset County
A man was struck and killed by an NJ Transit train in Somerset County on Monday afternoon, Dec. 18, authorities said. The man was fatally struck by the Gladstone Branch train 421 just west of the Basking Ridge station shortly before 2:55 p.m., an NJ Transit spokesperson told Daily Voice. The train had left Hoboken at 1:22 p.m. and was scheduled to arrive in Gladstone at 3:19 p.m. There were no injuries reported to the approximately 10 customers and crew members on board. A man was struck and killed by a a train in Somerset County, suspending service to NJ Transit's Morris & Essex line Saturday, Feb. 26, authorities said. The man was struck on the Gladstone Branch by train 732 around 1:45 p.m. in Basking Ridge, NJT spokesman Everett Merrill said. A Monmouth County physician is having his license suspended for three years for "inappropriate sexual contact" with a substance-abusing patient for whom he also prescribed addictive drugs, state authorities said. Person Struck By Train Delays Somerset County Arrival
The pedestrian struck and killed by a train Monday afternoon in Morris County was a teenage girl, NJ Transit officials said. A 17-year-old female from New Providence was struck by the westbound Morris & Essex line train #423 in Long Hill Township around 3:50 p.m., NJ Transit spokesman Paul Milo said. Somerset County ShopRites Impose Customer Limit Amid Coronavirus Spread
More than two dozen New Jersey ShopRite stores have implemented customer limits in an effort to stop the spread of coronavirus. The maximum number of customers will be roughly 30 percent of the store’s regular maximum occupancy, ShopRite said in a statement. A security guard will be stationed at entrances and exits to track the number of customers coming in and out. Only one entrance per store will remain open.
