Dump Truck Flips On Jersey Shore There was a debris spill when a dump truck overturned on the Jersey Shore, authorities said. The truck flipped at about 1 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 2 on Route 18 northbound — south of the Garden State Parkway — in Tinton Falls, according to the state Department of Transportation. One right lane of three was closed, 511nj.org reported.

Update: Tree Downs Wires, Burns Route 17 Pavement UPDATE: Southbound Route 17 remained closed temporarily after a transformer fire downed wires and burned a portion of the roadway Wednesday night in Waldwick. Police initially closed the highway north at Allendale Road and south at Cameron Road around 9:15 p.m. Several area power outages were reported. Police, firefighters and the state Department of Transportation responded.
