A four-vehicle crash closed the southbound express lanes of the Garden State Parkway in Middletown during rush-hour, authorities said. The crash occurred at 4:44 p.m. on Thursday, July 20 at milepost 110 of the parkway, according to Sgt. Philip Curry, a spokesman with the New Jersey State Police. Preliminary information revealed that four vehicles were involved in a rear-end crash which caused the express lanes to be fully blocked, Curry said. Tractor-Trailer Flips, Concrete Slab Closes I-195 Ramp
A tractor-trailer overturned and dumped a large concrete slab onto Interstate 195 during the morning rush hour, authorities said. The crash occurred at 8:14 a.m. Tuesda-Feb. 14 on I-195 eastbound exit 28B to Roiute 9 in Howell Township, according to Sgt. Philip Curry, a New Jersey State Police spokesman. The driver was not injured., Curry said. The exit ramp remained closed at noon and would remain closed until the concrete slab can be lifted back onto the trailer, Curry said. A 32-year-old driver from Sussex County was killed in a Route 80 exit ramp crash, state police confirmed. Luke Muller, of Stanhope, was driving a Pontiac Grand Prix east on the Route 206 south ramp to Route 80 east when the vehicle ran of the right side of the road, hitting several trees near the exit 25 ramp at milepost 25.3 in Mount Olive just after 3:05 p.m. on Thursday, July 7, NJSP Sgt. Philip Curry told DailyVoice.com. Muller suffered fatal injuries in the crash, Curry said. The crash remains under investigation. Additional details were not released.

A possible drowning victim was airlifted to a hospital Thursday morning, state police confirmed. NJSP and state park police responded to Swartswood State Park just before 10:15 a.m., Sgt. Philip Curry told DailyVoice.com. Initial reports stated that the victim was a male kayaker. The victim was taken to Newton Hospital before being airlifted to Morristown Medical Center, Curry said.
