Retired Police Chief Opens Chick-fil-A On Route 46 Thursday, May 2, will be a big day for chicken lovers in Morris County. Chick-fil-A announced its the opening date of the new Parsippany location at 1180 Route 46.  The restaurant will be open for pick-up, dine-in, drive-thru and carryout from 6:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. with the drive-thru open until 10 p.m., Monday to Saturday. Chick-fil-A will be closed Sundays, of course. The restaurant will be opened by Charlie Atie, the former police chief in Prospect Park. Century-Old Pep Boys Closing Some NJ Auto Parts Stores Pep Boys is losing some of its pep. The century-old retail automotive chain based in Philadelphia plans to close more than 100 of its parts stores nationwide -- including several in New Jersey, according to multiple news reports. The automotive company is shifting away from auto parts stores but will keep its Pep Boys maintenance garages and tire outlets -- similar to Instant Oil Change or Mavis, reports said.
