Grenade Explodes Injuring Woman In Mercer County A 39-year-old woman was injured when a deactivated grenade exploded in Mercer County, authorities said. On Monday, June 10, at approximately 11:40 a.m., Hightstown police were dispatched to the Deerfield/Westerlea Arms Apartment complex rental office on Westerlea Avenue. The woman was suffering from severe stomach pain, police said. Robbinsville EMS arrived, performed an evaluation, and transported the woman to Capital Health-Fuld Campus for non-life-threatening injuries, police said. Trenton Driver Left Pedestrian Crash Scene In Unsafe Van, NJ Police Say A pre-dawn hit-and-run crash that seriously injured a 52-year-old pedestrian from East Windsor remains under investigation, authorities said. The pedestrian, who was crossing Route 130 westbound, suffered life-threatening injuries, police said.  The 35-year-old driver of a Ford Econoline van, from Trenton, was arrested and charged after allegedly fleeing the scene, according to a crash report released by East Windsor Police Chief James A.
