Storm Knocks Power To Hundreds In Somerset County
Thousands of residents in northern New Jersey were without power as of Tuesday, Feb. 13 amid the snow storm that dropped several inches on the region. The JCP&L outage map shows 2,390 had no power in Warren County, mainly in Harmony Twp., Lopatcong, Phillipsburg, Pohatcong, and White Township as of 11:35 a.m. In Somerset County, nearly 900 residents had no power, mostly in Branchburg (790). Nearly 1,500 Hunterdon County residents were also in the dark. Those residents without power are mainly residents of Clinton, Holland, Lebanon, and Readington. Restoration times varied.

Tractor-Trailer Takes Down Pole On Jersey Shore
A tractor-trailer took down a pole and wires in Marlboro, authorities said. The crash on Wednesday afternoon, Aug. 30, closed Harbor Road between Route 79 and Tennent Road, Marlboro police said. More than 6,200 homes and businesses in Toms River and Lakewood were without power early Monday, Aug. 21 after a substation fire, authorities said. More Than 1,000 Without Power In Monmouth County
There was a power outage that left more than 1,000 Jersey Shore customers without electricity. A total of 1,056 customers remained without power in Monmouth County as of 4:20 p.m. Tuesday, May 2, according to JCP&L. The cause of the outages were not immediately clear. It's going to be a "rinse and repeat" type forecast for the next couple days, according to the National Weather Service. A stagnant upper low will continue scattered shower chances through Friday, but none of the days will be complete washouts.

A dump truck toppled a utility pole and smashed into a house in Ocean County, authorities said. A 55-year-old truck driver crashed into the home at the intersection of McLean Avenue and Route 35 North at 3:05 p.m. on Wednesday, April 5, Point Pleasant Beach police said. Thousands of New Jersey residents were without power on Tuesday due to a fast-moving storm Monday night. The majority of the outages were reported by JCP&L in Monmouth County. As of 10:30 a.m., 8,197 people were in the dark, the company said. Most of those customers were in Atlantic Highlands (1,143), Manalapan (553) and Marlboro (1,507). There were 770 JCP&L customers in Middlesex County were without power while 333 PSE&G customers were also without power in the same area.
