A 31-year-old man has been arrested for punching police officers breaking up a brawl in Newark, authorities said. Khalil Cuttino, of Phillipsburg, had been wanted for aggravated assault on police officers in connection with the Friday, April 12 incident, and was taken into custody on Sunday, April 14, Newark Public Safety Director Fritz G. Schools Shelter In Place Amid Investigation Into Possibly Armed NJ Student: Cops
An investigation into a student who was believed to have been armed with a gun had some schools sheltering in place Friday, March 22, police said. The investigation began around 12:10 p.m., when officers were called to investigate a student "acting suspiciously" at a school in Perth Amboy, local police said. The student was believed to have been headed toward another school looking for another student, police said. The student was taken into custody and was found to not have been armed, police said. A 6-year-old child suffered a broken leg in a three-car crash on Route 206 on Sunday, March 3, that Montgomery police said was caused by a woman driving on the shoulder. Two New Brunswick men were arrested Tuesday, Feb. 27 in the 2:30 p.m. Sunday attack, according to the Rutgers University Police Department. An MBA fellow at Rowan University has designed an app to enhance the security of students at the Glassboro campus. Siena Rampulla was a victim of an off-campus break-in in March 2022, as reported by Daily Voice. Jorge L. Mark Ehrenburg, a police sergeant in Kinnelon, was seriously injured when he fell from a tree stand while hunting in Blairstown on Friday, Nov. 24. Police responding to the intersection of Center Street and Park Place on a call of a sick or injured person found the unresponsive man around 5:25 p.m., Newark Public Safety Director Fritz Fragé said. Video Shows Police Rescuing Dog From Hot Car On Jersey Shore
A dog locked in a hot car for nearly 45 minutes was rescued by police officers this week in Ocean County (scroll for video). The small, white dog appeared to be okay after the tense rescue on Tuesday, Aug. 30 at Sherman Ave and Ocean Terrace in Seaside Heights, as reported by Jersey Shore Fire Response. There were bomb threats reported at three Walmart stores in Central Jersey, authorities said.
