'Suspicious Death': Human Remains Found In Union County Authorities in Union County are investigating last week's discovery of human remains. Plainfield police responded to reports of the remains found near the 800 block of West Front Street in Plainfield around 10 a.m. Dec. 24, acting Union County Prosecutor Lyndsay V. Plainfield police responding to the 200 block of Pond Place found a 23-year-old man with serious injuries around 9 p.m., Acting Union County Prosecutor Lyndsay V. Cocaine, Gun, $15K Seized In Plainfield Bust, Prosecutor Says A new task force created by the Union County Prosecutor's Office assisted Plainfield police in an investigation that authorities said turned up a large amount of cocaine and led to one arrest.  Detective Michael Metz of the Plainfield Police Division last week led a team that executed a search warrant last week at an apartment in the 800 block of East Front Street.
